I was invited by Maison Margiela Fragrance to create a work inspired by the world of fragrance and the REPLICA "Lazy Sunday Morning" candles, exploring the idea of reminiscence and the soft, soothing atmosphere that this scent evokes.
The piece is made from 100% recycled materials (sand, polystyrene, and paint), which I transformed to pay tribute to the authenticity of the collection.
I choosed to create replicas of the original perfume bottle to capture its essence and uniqueness through a sustainable artistic approach.
Each piece is a reinterpretation of the fragrance, a materialization of the sensory escape it offers, while honoring the commitment to the environment.
This work invites the viewer to be transported by the evocation of a moment where time seems to stand still.
J'ai été invité par Maison Margiela Fragrance à concevoir une œuvre autour de l'univers du parfum et des bougies REPLICA "Lazy Sunday Morning", en explorant l'idée de la réminiscence et de l'ambiance douce et apaisante que ce parfum évoque.
L'œuvre est réalisée à partir de 100% de matériaux recyclés (du sable, du polystyrène et de la peinture), des matières que j'ai transformées pour rendre hommage à l’authenticité de la collection.
J'ai choisi de créer des répliques de la bouteille de parfum originale, pour en capturer l’essence et la singularité à travers une approche artistique durable.
Chaque pièce est une réinterprétation du parfum, une matérialisation de l’évasion sensorielle qu’il procure, tout en respectant l'engagement envers l'environnement.
Cette œuvre invite le spectateur à se laisser transporter par l’évocation d’un moment où le temps semble suspendu.
