Mexico City, Mexico.

Perched at high altitude, Mexico City stretches out like the beating heart of Mexico. Founded in the early 14th century by the Mexicas on an islet in Lake Texcoco, the pre-Columbian city of Tenochtitlan was replaced by the Spanish conquistadors, who built the continent’s first major city with European layout there. The fragile ground trembles, regularly shaken by earthquakes, a constant reminder of its tumultuous history. It is a vibrant crossroads where modernity and ancestral traditions blend. On the colorful façades, a thousand voices, a thousand stories are expressed. The streets buzz with a joyful chaos of colors, scents, and sounds that envelop the city. Under an unrelenting sun, Mexico comes alive, breathes, lives.
